KTM 450 SMR 2025 este a competition supermoto motorcycle, equipped with a 449.9 cc SOHC, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine develops over 63 HP and weighs only 26.8 kg. Total weight is 108.8 kg, and the fuel tank capacity is 7.2 liters.
Transmission includes a 5-speed gearbox, multi-disc wet clutch with controlled slipper function and mechanical actuation, electric start, and final chain drive. The primary transmission ratio is 29:72, and the secondary is 14:46.
Suspension consists of a WP Xact 48mm closed-cartridge inverted fork at the front with 285mm travel, fully adjustable without tools via manual clickers on the bottom of the fork leg and the top cap, and a WP Xact monoshock with linkage at the rear with 266mm travel, featuring manually adjustable dual compression controls for high- and low-speed settings. The fork uses a new piston design with a center valve that optimizes oil flow in the cartridge and prevents unwanted foaming, thus maintaining damping characteristics. A new hydraulic stopper in the last part of the stroke keeps maximum reserves in extreme scenarios.
The braking system Brembo high-performance includes a 4-piston M50 radially mounted caliper and a radial pump acting on an imposing 310mm disc at the front, and a single-piston caliper and 220mm disc at the rear, offering incredible braking power.
Rims are lightweight ALPINA, 16.5 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear. The tires are race-ready Metzeler Racetec SM K1 Supermoto, in sizes 125/75-16.5 front and 165/55-17 rear.
Seat height is 898 mm, and ground clearance is 281 mm. The frame is tubular steel with visible cutouts and changes in tube wall thickness around the headstock, engine mounts, and rear shock mount, optimized to improve the chassis flex characteristics and cornering behavior while maintaining overall stability. These structural changes save 300g in weight. The handlebar is Neken aluminum with a 28/22 mm diameter.
The electronic system includes a simplified engine map selection switch, allowing for easier functionality in switching between 2 engine maps. Map 1 offers a more linear power curve, while Map 2 hits with aggressive throttle and explosive power. Traction Control is easily switchable to an activated or deactivated position from the same switch. Launch Control and Quickshifter are fitted as standard.
Ergonomics benefit from new tank shrouds with bi-composite plastic on the upper and lower parts, offering not only a distinctive look but also contributing to cooling by channeling air more efficiently.
The air filter box is designed to ensure maximum airflow, with intake ducts precisely positioned to prevent air deformation and maintain filter protection. The Twin Air filter and the air filter support design feature a simple and secure mounting system.
The graphics for 2025 feature full orange bodywork with red and black in-mold graphics, along with the more durable black seat, outlining a cleaner look and communicating pure Ready to Race intentions.
