KTM 990 Duke 2024 is a mid-class naked motorcycle equipped with a 947 cc LC8c parallel-twin engine, liquid-cooled, with DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder. The engine produces 123 HP at 9,500 rpm and 103 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. Dry weight is 179 kg.
The tubular frame is made of chromoly steel and is new, with lateral rigidity increased by 8% and torsional rigidity increased by 5%. The gravity die-cast aluminum swingarm with closed-lattice design is 1.5 kg lighter than the one on the 890 Duke. Suspension is WP Apex with 43 mm inverted fork adjustable in 5 positions for compression and extension, and the WP Apex Monotube rear shock is adjustable in 5 positions with manual spring preload.
The braking system includes dual 300 mm floating discs at the front with radially-mounted 4-piston calipers and a 240 mm disc at the rear with 2-piston caliper, equipped with Bosch Supermoto ABS. The 17-inch alloy wheels are fitted with Bridgestone S22 tires in sizes 120/70-R17 front and 180/55-R17 rear.
Seat height is 825 mm, and the fuel tank has a capacity of 14.5 liters. The 5-inch TFT display provides access to 3 standard riding modes (Rain, Street, Sport) and 2 optional modes (Performance and Track). Electronic equipment includes traction control, stability control, multi-level wheelie control, 6D inertial platform and optional Launch Control.
The 2024 model marks 30 years since the launch of the first Duke and is available in two colors: electric orange and black. Lighting is fully LED with adaptive headlights and daytime running lights that automatically adjust according to ambient light.
